Useful knowledge.
Accountable control.

Understand how Steer approaches identity, source access, guidance and publication—and where the current boundaries are.

Identity before retrieval

Steer binds users to a verified company identity. Authorisation happens before context is ranked or deduplicated. Current membership, source access and revocation constrain what can be returned; ambiguous access is denied.

A published context policy does not freeze access forever. Current restrictions continue to apply, including when policy is rolled back.

Honest source boundaries

The current shared Notion, GitHub and Microsoft file connections operate on explicitly selected source areas and declared audiences. Application access to a repository, page collection or site is not proof of every employee’s original source permissions.

Use shared, appropriate material for those lanes. Restricted personal, executive or client information needs separately proven authorisation. Steer does not claim universal per-user ACL parity for these connections.

Read-only source connections

Original source systems remain the systems of record. Steer reads selected material and returns references and excerpts. It does not imply source editing, document deletion or employee monitoring.

People approve consequential guidance

AI can assist with drafting. Accountable owners approve and publish guidance. Routine reference updates do not become per-file approval work. Unattended semantic curation remains disabled until its calibration requirements are met.

Content and access have separate lifecycles

Routing policy is published deliberately; eligible source content remains live. Access loss can withhold material regardless of a prior publication.

Early-access assurance

Steer is undergoing real-work testing. We do not claim SOC 2, ISO 27001 certification, a production availability SLA or independent enterprise validation on this website.
